Why each signal is weighted the way it is.

  • Phone reputation, 35 percent. A burner or VOIP line is the clearest sign nobody will answer. Line age matters as much as line type, since a prepaid number activated yesterday behaves nothing like a ten year old mobile.
  • Form behavior, 28 percent. Time on form, paste detection, field corrections, and how far the visitor scrolled the vehicle page before submitting. A person shopping a truck behaves nothing like a script filling fields in 900 milliseconds.
  • Email domain, 22 percent. Disposable domains flagged, MX records checked, role addresses weighted down. Free consumer domains are completely normal and are never penalized.
  • Geography and device, 15 percent. Distance from the rooftop, datacenter and proxy detection, and device consistency. Distance alone never disqualifies a lead, because real buyers travel for the right car.

What the score buckets mean.

How each score range is handled and what it means for your BDC.
ScoreWhat it meansWhat happens
80 to 100Verified mobile, strong intent behavior, in marketDelivered to CRM, work these first
45 to 79Mixed signals, still worth a callDelivered to CRM, work second
Below 45Burner or VOIP line, disposable email, or script behaviorHeld out of the queue, visible in dashboard

The cut line is a setting, not a rule we impose. If your BDC has capacity and wants everything, set the threshold to zero and use the score purely for sorting.

Lead scoring for car dealers that gets better every month.

Every month we take your closed deals and run them back against the scores those leads received. If leads in the 60s close at the same rate as leads in the 80s, the weights are wrong for your market and we change them. This is the part most lead scoring tools skip, and it is why a score means something different in a metro market than it does in a rural one.

  • Month one runs on the published starting weights while we collect baseline data
  • Month two onward uses weights fitted to your own sale through rate by score bucket
  • Manual corrections count. A car sold to someone the model held back feeds the next retune

Frequently asked questions

Is the lead score a black box?

No. Every score breaks down into four signal families with published weights, and your monthly review shows the score distribution and the sale through rate for each bucket. You can see why any individual lead scored the way it did.

Can I change the threshold for what reaches my BDC?

Yes. The threshold is yours to set and you can change it at any time. Some stores work every lead above 45, others hold everything under 70. We recommend a starting point based on your first month of data.

Does the model learn from my store specifically?

Yes. The weights are retuned monthly against your actual sale through rate, so the score reflects what converts at your rooftop rather than an industry average.

What happens if a good lead scores low?

It stays visible in your dashboard with the reason attached, so you can call it anyway and tell us. Those corrections feed the monthly retune. Nothing is deleted.

Does scoring slow down lead delivery?

No. Scoring completes in under one second, which is faster than the delay in most CRM integrations. The lead reaches your CRM sooner than it would through a manual handoff.
